Korean society is rapidly aging and, as a result, the number of people suffering from dementia is also increasing every year. Given this demographic shift facing the country, preventing dementia and providing care for those affected by the condition are two crucial missions for the Korean welfare system. By offering the Interdisciplinary Dementia Special Care Major our goal is to train and develop dementia care experts who will contribute to the future health and general welfare of society through practical social welfare skills related to dementia prevention, early dementia detection and providing care and support for dementia patients and their families.
